History of the Restaurant ::
In 1870, "La Rayua", matriarch of the Verdasco family, inaugurated La Bola restaurant, famous for its Madrid stew. Since then, the family has continued to run this establishment that has become a classic in Madrid and expanding the family business with La Cañada and now La Rayua, a restaurant that honors the pioneer of hospitality in the Family Verdasco. The specialty of the house is the Madrid stew, cooked in individual mud stew and slow charcoal fire. Other specialties are roasts, meats, fish or apple fritters, and one of the star dishes, and that can only be tasted here, cooked pizza.

The stew of Madrid is our most popular dish. The stew of Madrid has been tasting in the streets of the capital since the beginning of the 20th century. One of the pioneers in serving the stew is the local La Bola, also run by the Verdasco family. Historians say that there were three types of stew: 12 noon, 1 o'clock and 2 o'clock. The first one was for people with less resources since it was the cheapest since it did not carry All the ingredients. The most expensive was the two in the afternoon, which already had all the ingredients with which we serve the stew today in our establishments.
