What a week!
The clay court season is done for me with singles. I went down in three sets in qualies for Roland Garros. It's been an interesting stretch, I feel like I've actually made big gains physically and started getting my game together. For me the next part of the season, moving onto grass, really suits my game and I feel like I'm in good shape for that. I still have doubles here in Paris with Rob and will start either Tuesday or Wednesday.
The biggest part of my week though came on Friday, when I proposed to my girlfriend, Britt, in the Luxembourg Gardens. We spent the day biking around Paris, followed by a picnic with friends in the park. I surprised her by getting down on one knee and, luckily for me, she said yes! She will travel with me for most of the summer and, I guess, there will be a lot of planning to do, working out dates, etc. Not an easy task when you are in a different city (if not country) every week. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated on the progress and any major developments.
But for now I'm off to bed, no time to slack off. Back to work because I'm determined to get myself back to where I believe I should be.
