September 9, 2015 was a pivotal moment in former world No. 4 James Blake's life. As he stood outside in Midtown Manhattan waiting to go to an appearance at the U.S. Open, he was attacked by an undercover police officer who threw him on the ground, cuffed him, and kept him in custody for about 15 minutes before claiming it was a mistaken identity.
Instead of being angry, Blake took that situation and gracefully turned it into something positive. He wrote "Ways of Grace: Stories of Activism, Adversity, and How Sports Can Bring Us Together."
