One of the sport's leading journalists and historians— will be inducted at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island on July 22, 2017. He has been reporting on tennis full time since 1974. Flink worked for World Tennis Magazine as an editor and columnist from 1974 to 1991. From 1992-2007, he was a senior correspondent for Tennis Week. Since 2007, Flink has written a weekly column for TennisChannel.com. He is the author of two significant historical books entitled The Greatest Tennis Matches of the Twentieth Century and The Greatest Tennis Matches of All Time.
From 1982-2009, he was the CBS radio reporter from the French Open and Wimbledon. Across the seventies and eighties, he was a statistician for CBS, NBC and ABC at Wimbledon, the French Open and the U.S. Open, and as a color commentator he appeared on the ESPN and Madison Square Garden networks in the 1980's and 1990's. He was inducted at the Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame in 2010. In his 43 years as an American tennis reporter, Flink has covered 120 Grand Slam tournaments.
